The
patient standing to my left is Michael, who recently visited our
practice from Iowa. Standing to his left is his wife, Trish. Michael
underwent multiple Radial Keratotomy
surgeries over 30 years ago in an attempt to eliminate his need for
eyeglasses or contact lenses. For over 25 years Michael’s vision has
been distorted and unstable.
In an effort to see clearly, Michael had to wear different eyeglasses
depending on the day of the week and the time of the day. Michael is a
farmer who drives a combine to plow his crops. After so many years of
struggling to function, Michael decided to visit us.
2 weeks ago we fit both of Michael’s eyes with GVR Scleral lenses
which are providing him with clear (20/20), stable and comfortable
vision. Helping patients like Michael see clearly and comfortably once
again after years of blurred vision is our mission. It is what we are
all about.
